Two people sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Danville on Wednesday, October 2.
The accident occurred at around 12:45 p.m., according to the Danville Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief. A Honda Civic struck a man, 74-year-old Samuel Weaver, riding on a moped while he was traveling near the corner of Monroe and North Ridge Streets. Both Weaver and the other driver were injured and taken to the hospital.
Rescuers believed that the injuries sustained by the Honda’s driver were not life threatening.
As a result of the accident, Weaver is now facing charges of failing to yield at a stop sign.
