Pilotonline.com reports that a 32-year old man from Norfolk died on May 2, 2013 when the car he was driving crashed into a light pole. The victim, Jonathan Mcabee, was making a turn onto Wesleyan Drive from Haygood Road at approximately 12:30 AM. He lost control of the vehicle, which slid across the road, where it finally crashed into the pole. The victim died at the hospital. The passenger, also injured, received serious injuries. The police believe that speed and alcohol contributed to the accident.
