Fox 43 reports that a vehicle hit a teen in Virginia Beach near the General Booth Blvd and Princess Anne Road Intersection on Saturday, May 11. The girl was walking her bike across the street when the vehicle struck her. The driver of the vehicle who struck the child did the right thing and waited at the scene for help to arrive and to speak with the police. The girl went to the hospital with serious injuries. Residents say this area is particularly dangerous, and that this is certainly not the first accident to take place along that stretch of road. One resident claimed to have seen or heard of at least four that happened in the vicinity. This begs the question as to why nothing has yet been done to make it a safer place for drivers and pedestrians. Those who are in Virginia Beach and who are in this area should take extra precautions whether they are walking, riding a bike, or are behind the wheel.
