A Norfolk man was arrested on New Year’s Eve, December 31, after taking a car without consent and driving it while intoxicated.
At around 9:37 p.m., Norfolk police investigated a collision that happened at the 500 block of N. 14th Street. They learned that a car struck a parked vehicle and the driver had left the scene. The police later found out that a man named Casey Faulk, 21, had stolen the vehicle.
The police interviewed Faulk when he returned to the scene at around 10:30 p.m. and found out that he had been driving under the influence. He was charged with DUI, theft, and leaving the scene of an accident. He was held in Norfolk City jail before being moved to the Madison County jail.
