Joe Miller Obtains Substantial, Six Figure Injury Settlement for Motorcycle Crash Victim

2006, Accomac, Va. — We negotiated a substantial six figure injury settlement for an Eastern shore man who suffered multiple severe bone fractures of his neck, legs, and ankles when he was violently thrown from his motorcycle when the defendant pulled out of her driveway in front of him. The defense claimed that the plaintiff and his companions were speeding down the road on their motorcycles; however, depositions of the defendant, combined with the measurements of the sight distances at the scene of the accident by experts that we hired, revealed that defendant had plenty of time to see the plaintiff’s oncoming motorcycle, and that there was no reason for her to pull forward into the path of the plaintiff’s motorcycle. Funds primarily came from the stacking of three underinsured motorist policies owned by our client and his wife.
