Health Matters America Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of several Organic Traditions Sprouted Chia Seed Powder and Organic Traditions Sprouted Chia & Flax Seed Powder products following Salmonellosis cases tied to its consumption, Food Safety News reported on June 5.
24 cases of Salmonella infection in Canada were believed to be associated with consuming the recalled products. In the U.S., 17 people have also fallen ill in relation to the affected chia powders.
